In 1997, RE/MAX du Cartier acquired a prestigious territory, that of Outremont. This agency will become a hub for RE/MAX du Cartier which will now position itself as one of the most important real estate agencies in Quebec. RE/MAX du Cartier on Bernard Avenue became a reference for consumers of prestigious properties.
The real estate market in effervescence brings RE/MAX du Cartier in 2002 to set up in Ville Mont-Royal. A more affluent sector in Quebec, our agency will be a must for all buyers or sellers who wish to trade in the center-west part of Montreal. Besides, many of our brokers live there, what better way to know a neighborhood than to live in it.

A story, a success
It was in July 1995 that RE/MAX du Cartier opened its doors at 835, boul. Saint-Joseph, in the Plateau Mont-Royal. Quickly the real estate agency is noticed and several experienced brokers join.
The reputation of RE/MAX, the quality of its brokers and the buoyancy of the real estate market in 1997 prompted Serge Brousseau, owner broker, to acquire a second franchise. This one is born rue Bernard in Outremont. The location, already occupied by a real estate company, is experiencing a remarkable rise in the RE/MAX du Cartier banner in a very short time. Many brokers working for other companies are eager to join the RE/MAX du Cartier team in Outremont.
In 2002, it was Ville Mont-Royal's turn to host the third RE/MAX du Cartier franchise on Laird Boulevard.
Then, very quickly, in 2003, the Cartier RE/MAX family was enriched with a fourth office in the Villeray district, on Saint-Laurent Boulevard, in the heart of Little Italy.
Today, RE/MAX du Cartier has an enviable reputation. With its realtors and sub-franchisees, the agency has more than 200 brokers and its franchisees covering all sectors of Greater Montréal. Proud of its positioning, to date, according to statistics from the Quebec real estate boards, it has reached the highest annual sales volume of transaction of all real estate agencies, equivalent to more than $ 600 million. RE/MAX du Cartier's administration
RE / MAX du Cartier is the story of a dazzling success thanks to the skill and determination of its brokers, of course, but also to its passionate administrative staff and qualified directors.
Serge Brousseau Founder of RE/MAX du Cartier
Mr. Brousseau obtained his broker's license in 1986. His success is immediate and rapid, he is called upon to become director of the real estate agency to which he is assigned. He later became director of RE/MAX Outremont, this stimulated the opening his own agency, which he did in 1995. Opening the doors of his first branch, that of the Plateau Mont-Royal. His involvement and his charisma quickly lead him to become an unavoidable reference in this sector.
Mr. Brousseau subsequently purchased, in 1997, the office in Outremont, where he was formerly director. With his reputation, he was elected president of the Greater Montréal Real Estate Board in the same year.
His success did not stop there because, a few years later, he will acquire the agency of Ville Mont-Royal. His recognition as a dominant figure in the profession of broker and manager will lead him to accede to the presidency of the OACIQ Board of Directors (self-regulating body of Quebec real estate brokerage), a role he will hold with professionalism for twelve years.
During this period, Mr. Brousseau will establish a new branch in Villeray (La Petite Italie) in a modern and sophisticated location. He also became the owner of the Westmount and Notre-Dame-de-Grâce branches. Unfortunately, his extra-large work will force him to get rid of his last two franchises.
Involved very actively in the training of brokers, Mr. Brousseau will found the Collège d'enseignement en immobilier (CEI). A few years later he transfered his share to Re/max Québec. This college is now recognized in the real estate industry. Finally, in 2015, Mr. Brousseau will add a new rope to his bow by founding with his colleague Anne Bizier the company B2, a consulting company, which aims for performance, knowledge and mentoring.
